Troubled bridge over waters

Next year Lacey will have a new bridge on Beach Boulevard to provide access to properties on the east side of the cooling channel.  But you can't please everyone all the time, and the plans for the bridge are no exception.  

Issues debated ranged from obscure bog plants to bald eagles to an emergency evacuation route that brings motorists right up to what they might be looking to get away from.  But in the end, permits were issued by the state, and the plans will proceed.
